Planning and Zoning

The Planning and Zoning Department administers all building permits and inspections of construction. The Planning and Zoning Department administers the County's Zoning ordinances that govern land usage and the Flood Damage Prevention Ordinance that delineate flood zone and flood way. The official Flood Insurance Rate Maps (FIRM) along with the official Zoning Maps of Madison County are available for viewing in the Planning and Zoning Office located in the Madison County Chancery Building.
